Bio:
Brice Garrett is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Traditionally trained as a goldsmith, Brice’s work ranges across disciplines, culminating in jewelry, sculptures, installations, and community projects. His practice explores the possibilities for how objects can accrue, transform, or reveal meaning through touch, wear, and lived experiences.
Brice received his MFA from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Sweden and a BA from San Diego State University.
His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Jewellery Museum Pforzheim, Kohler Arts Center, Columbus Museum of Art & Design, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, R & Company Gallery, Brooklyn Metal Works, Baltimore Jewelry Center, and NYC Jewelry Week.
He has been the recipient of numerous awards and residencies including from the Museum of Arts and Design, Queens Council on the Arts, Center for Craft, Manhattan Graphic Center, Tides Institute & Museum of Art, Jakob Bengel Foundation, and Arts New Brunswick Canada.
